Footasylum Hiring for Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist Job at Rochdale, England Full Time

We’re looking for a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to help create the best possible candidate experiences, improve our employer brand and be a true brand ambassador for Footasylum. The role will cover a range of business areas, with a view point to developing your role and skills to specialise in particular areas.

Our head office is based in Rochdale and we are working in a hybrid way, whilst we adjust to this new way working post Covid-19. Our expectation is that you will be in the office at least a couple of days a week.

Being a part of the Footasylum Talent Attraction Team has a range of differing responsibilities including identifying current and future hiring needs, advertising job openings online and designing employee referral programs. To be successful in this role, you should have an understanding of the process of being a candidate, be empathetic to the business needs and experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates.

Some of the responsibilities of your role will be:

• Managing the end to end recruitment process
• Collaborate with hiring managers to write effective adverts for current openings.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers, regularly scheduling meetings and remaining close to help through the recruitment process.
• Use all of the tools and platforms Footasylum have to source the best candidates possible, in different geographic areas.
• Advertising current opportunities on careers pages, job boards and social networks.
• Research and attend events that will help build employer brand in difficult to recruit areas, whilst ensuring value for money for exhibition attendance.
• Source candidates through online channels, LinkedIn accounts, job boards, local education establishments, job centres, meetups and shopping centre events.
• Screen CVs and applications, updating each candidate on next steps including rejections.
• Working with Talent Attraction & Acquisition Manager and the Marketing department to maintain consistent message from the brand, in alignment with the overarching marketing strategy.
• Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate.
• Research and attend job fairs to boost company’s reputation in local areas.
• Offer as much support in the on-boarding process as possible. Be the candidate outlet and build relationships that position you as a ‘Trusted Advisor’.

The Team

You’ll be working as part of a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists who cover different departments across the company. Our vision for this role will for it to cover roles based in Head Office, with the long term ambition for the role to specialise and partner with a few key departments.

Our service strategy is to be business partners with the department, becoming intrinsic and being seen as a ‘trusted advisor’ to the departments you support. This works brilliantly for us and has resulted in some of our team even going to work in the departments they support!

About You

You don’t need any recruitment experience, but we are keen to see a passion for Talent Acquisition or HR.

• You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively, particularly with new people.
• Good use of Social Media channels and being IT literate are a must.
• Your personality will need to be positive, driven and buzzing.
• An interest in trainers, fashion or retail would be brilliant, but is in no way necessary.
