About the opportunity

Working closely with the Finance Manager of a multinational giant, you will provide support for the controllership function of Fonterra Australia. You will ensure that strong internal control frameworks are maintained whilst working collaboratively with the team and diverse stakeholders to keep costs under control for all associated expense centres. You will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts, treasury and assisting with indirect and direct. In addition, you will play a pivotal part in the management of internal and external audits ensuring Fonterra Australia is compliant with all Group policies.

About you

Technically, you will be second to none! Your experience in a similar role with a complex, listed company or experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm, coupled with your strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role. Highly motivated, you are a change agent who is on a quest for continuous improvement. Highly articulate, your ability to influence people and drive changes throughout an organisation will be some of your strong points. Commercially savvy, you’ll be a solutions-focused problem solver and be comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines. To be successful in this role, a sound background of working with SAP in a FMCG environment will be highly desirable. You will be CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with experience from within a Big Four or a large, complex business with global presence.

You’ll also have:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in financial accounting and external reporting
• Experience in assessing and rolling out internal controls
• Highly effective communication and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience identifying gaps in internal control and implementing improvements
• Intermediate-advanced Excel skills
• Ability to build strategic relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
