Controller
SUMMARY:
Responsible for all accounting activities, including financial analysis, planning, budget control, statistical reports, audits, and tax activities. Establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Works under the direction of the CFO to develop strategic and long-term financial goals and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Establishes, monitors, and enforces internal controls.
· Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to external auditors.
· Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
· Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
· Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
· Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Actively recruit, hire, manage and lead the training and development of qualified employees.
· Maintains a focused and motivated team through coaching, counseling, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Conducts team meetings to maintain consistency in presentation, communication, execution, and service, amongst Accounting personnel.
· Continually evaluates and enhances various Accounting processes/procedures to improve service, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
· Timely follow-up and resolution of all internal/external requests, complaints and/or concerns
· Protects company by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Upholds all company policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsible for Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Credit & Collections, and Inventory Control personnel.

· Accounting personnel management experience to include hiring, training, directing, and motivating.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Availability as requested/required for weekend or after-hour emergency calls, necessary as the workload dictates. Minimal travel requirements.
