FM Conway Looking for Senior Engineer at Sevenoaks, Kent Full Time

FM Conway is currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Division. The role will initially be based from our Sevenoaks office but you will be working on sites throughout London and the South East. The Senior Engineer role is full time and permanent, offering a broad range of benefits and a competitive salary.

The Senior Engineer Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with experience in the Civils sector to be part of our growing team. With recent project wins we are keen to expand the team to support on the delivery of these projects and assist the team in developing new clients in Kent and London.

Responsibilities of our Senior Engineer

• Providing precontract assistance when required to produce PQQ’s and tenders. Including method statements, programme and build advice.
• Assisting in the production of the weekly paperwork in accordance with the IMS requirements.
• Ensuring that works are set out accurately and well in advance of them being undertaken.
• Checking the setting out prior to handing over to the team that will deliver the work.
• Making sure clear and precise instructions are provided to the delivery team as to the nature of the setting out and the control that it provides.
• Liaising with the Clients representative over clarifications and requests for information.
• Checking all personnel on site including visitors hold a current CITB issued CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and/or CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card or are registered with CSCS under this scheme within one month of commencement of their employment.
• Ensuring that all site staff and subcontractors wear a hard hat, high visibility vest or jacket, high visibility trousers, protective footwear, protective gloves and protective eyewear on site. This includes all site visitors and statutory undertakers.
• Assisting and cooperating with Health and Safety Executive Officers, Insurance Company Representatives, SHEQ Manager and Safety Advisors on their visits to the site for the purpose of site inspection and incident investigation. Ensuring that full and prompt action is taken on any instruction issued or recommendations made because of those visits.
• Acting in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with reference to our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, procedures, and practices.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Engineer

You will have experience of Civil Egineering with either a SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification. We are searching for an individual who hold excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be experienced in growing mentoring and leading teams.  A Degree in engineering / NVQ 4 or 5 / HNC or HND will be highly regarded as well as a CSCS card.
