Job Title: FLVS Full Time ESE Specialist

Annual Salary: $50,163.00 – $80,696.00
(Support staff salary will be based on internal equity and experience)

Location: FL – Home Office

Position General Summary:

The Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialist assists the ESE Manager with staffing and transition support for students with disabilities at FLVS Full Time K-12 Schools to maintain district compliance requirements. The ESE Specialist collaborates with families, schools, district staff, and external stakeholders concerning all facets of programming for students with special needs from pre-referral, placement, transition, graduation, and post-secondary needs. The ESE Specialist keeps abreast of state rules, legislation, and federal IDEA requirements surrounding ESE eligibility and transition support. The ESE Specialist provides training to the schools and district in identification of suspected disabilities and supporting the transition needs of ESE students and families to ensure successful outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Valid professional Florida certificate in Exceptional Student Education K-12

Experience:

• At least three years’ teaching experience in one or more areas of Exceptional Student Education

• Virtual education experience, preferred
