The Regional Student Support Services Coordinator is responsible for providing supportive services to students by managing student resources available for the region assigned (off and on campus). The individual is responsible for the advising of students throughout the student experience in academic, co-curricular, and personal areas to encourage engagement, persistence and resilience for a better retention and graduation outcome. The Coordinator administers programming that enhances the quality of the learning environment serving as a student success coach, a liaison, and advisor for the students in their region. The coordinator is a referral source to internal and external resources supporting students throughout the student lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Using the various technology available, the Student Services Ticket System, the Student Services protocols, and college policies the Regional Student Support Services Coordinator:

• Facilitates student success by defining, coordinating and implementing proactive retention strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals.
• Coordinates and supports the incoming students and reentries on boarding process for orientation, workshops, events, and scheduled meetings as requested.
• Plans at the regional and campus level workshops and other activities for incoming and current students.
• Provides regular student one on one support, connecting them with academics, and other departments to facilitate and solve any issues or concerns.
• Advises students identified as at risk and schedule coaching or advising sessions to offer support, information, resources and referrals.
• Advocates for the students and works with internal and external providers to facilitate or accommodate student needs.
• Develops programming based on the retention model and student needs (academics, social, emotional, and environmental) with the campus leadership that meet the advising related needs of all students that impact student retention and success.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher education preferred with official transcripts from post-secondary institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of outreach in student support and education experience at the college level; preferably in the proprietary school setting.
• Ability to work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including evening and coordinated weekend hours; ability to act effectively in emergency and crisis situations.
• Familiar with current trends in higher education and technology, and the ability to enhance the use of technology and other resources to meet student needs
