1212 Flooring Solutions, Inc. is looking for a bookkeeper with a strong collaborative work style. This is a remote position, so communication is very important. You must have your own computer/equipment and fully functional office space. Experience with QuickBooks Online is needed.
Reports to: The Director of Operations
Your responsibility in this role is to develop a well-organized system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Duties include:
· Handle accounts receivable and payable
· Prepare and process invoices through a company designed general ledger system
· Reconcile bank statement and review payroll records
· Prepare ledger entries daily and post-financial data in the company system
· Prepare and distribute periodical statements
· Handle per diem cards and expense reports
· Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
· Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
· Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
· Accounts Receivable, invoices, reviewing payments received and record deposits
· Bi-weekly payroll with third-party payroll company
· Work closely with Hiring Manager to onboard new employees into payroll/clocking software
· Other general office tasks as needed
Skills:
· Proven bookkeeping experience
· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
· Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience
