This position is remote capable within Canada.
User Experience (UX) Designer
Flexiti Financial is looking for a User Experience Designer to join its Product Design Team. We are looking for a skilled and creative thinker; someone who will help us reimagine how we interact with our customers and create the experiences that matter to them. Supporting the AVP of Product Design & Development, the User Experience Designer understands the big picture of who they’re designing for and what they want to achieve and iterate through those tiny details that change an interaction from utilitarian to delightful.
What you will be doing:
Gather and evaluate user experience requirements from stakeholders, customers, and merchants in collaboration with product and engineering teams
Conduct user research and usability studies
Use analytics to search out opportunities to improve customer interactions
Conceptualize user journeys and design interaction in partnership with the product team
Develop wireframes, detailed specifications, accessibility requirements, and prototypes that are aligned to product/feature specifications
Determine the design interactions and customer flows for the customer experience and documents channel requirements for approval by senior management
Present compelling design concepts for stakeholder review meetings and engage in iterative working sessions
Use competitive analysis to assess UI/UX versus best practice and industry innovations and recommends opportunities for improvements
Maintain and manage digital standards guides and design principles

What you should have:
3+ years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex omni-channel solutions and/or mobile applications
A strong portfolio of design projects and case studies
Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently, flexibly, and intelligently
Experience working independently or as part of a cross-functional team
Knowledge of web technologies (platforms, devices, HTML, CSS, JS)
Expertise in standard design software (Adobe suite, Axure, Figma)
A solid grasp of user-centered design, user research and testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility
Experience working within retail or a financial services environment is a plus
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Good time-management skills
