Underwriting Supervisor

Existing semi-truck dealership located in Sandusky, Ohio, selling 900+ units annually, is looking for an experienced Underwriting Supervisor to build internal lending (Buy Here / Pay Here) to its business!

The Underwriting Supervisor will build and manage the loan process (origination, underwriting, collections (3rd party), etc.) while aligning the company to make consumer loans for semi-trucks within corporate and legal guidelines. The ideal candidate will also provide oversight and direction regarding existing and future external lending partners and lead the existing Finance Team.

Essential Functions

• Build and manage the underwriting and collections process
• Control loss rates
• Subprime experience
• Manage DMS System
• Coached and trained teams
• Performance and process improvement plan
• Build and manage origination & underwriting processes
• Prepare and manage loan application, approval and supporting documentation processes
• Calculate and set interest rates
• Monitor payments
• Ensure all lending procedures comply with legal regulations and corporate guidelines
• Research, implement and streamline vendor partners and applicable processes
• Oversee the timely measurement of key metrics and reports
• Provide outstanding customer service

Competencies:

• 5+ years previous credit management experience, preferably in a consumer lending organization
• 5+ years previous consumer financing experience
• 3-5 Years successful leadership experience, preferably in the consumer loan and/or collections industry
• Underwriting experience
• Excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations for the industry
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation preparation
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field preferred
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Strong analytical, interpersonal communication and writing skills
• Innovative and critical thinking with the ability to solve problems
• $5,000 dollar sign on bonus

• Salary $80,000-$90,000K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
