Fisher Island Day School Hiring for Learning Resource Teacher / Full Time: August at Miami Beach, FL Full Time

Leading independent school in Miami Beach seeks a candidate with teaching experience and a related degree to serve as Learning Resource Teacher: work with small enrichment and remediation groups, support teachers with student needs, assisting in assessing student needs and designing plans to address, serve occasionally as substitute.The school has small class sizes with a 1:15 class ratio and opportunities for professional development and growth. The teacher will engage a variety of instructional approaches to match the skill(s) being taught as well as to maintain student interest (e.g., hands-on instruction, direct instruction, computer-assisted instruction, interdisciplinary instruction, etc.). Administrative support is provided.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in the field. Master’s degree and certification preferred.
2. Minimum two years of teaching experience in Elementary grades.
3. Successful completion of Florida Department of Law Enforcement background screening.
4. Ability to differentiate classroom instruction based on student abilities.
5. Ability to effectively communicate student progress to parents.
6. Team player – – willingness to collaborate, share, and be flexible.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
