About the role

The main purpose of this job is to support our small finance team in delivering our financial responsibilities, ensuring the bookkeeping is in order for budgeting, taxes and financial reporting. This is a key role, within our finance team, responsible for the day-to-day finance tasks, providing key support to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance, as well as the agency as a whole.

What you’ll do

• Making sure all Invoices are signed off
• Inputting Expenses onto System/Ensuring it is managed correctly
• Dealing with Supplier Invoices/Supplier Statements
• Responsible for Managing Sales Ledger and Client Invoice Creation
• CMAP
• Setting Up/Collecting Timesheet Systems for new staff and Freelancer
• Complete weekly cashflow report and submit to Fishawack – every Friday
• Prepare the due purchase invoices for payment every two weeks.
• Chase up any outstanding Group invoices/Credit Card Transactions and input into Xero
• Responsible for Managing Timesheets and reports
• Bank Reconciliation/ Fixed Assets Registers
• Support with general office administration including, stationery orders, H&S, and HR administration tasks, as required.

About you

• Evidence of some academic or vocational learning
• Some accounting or administrative experience
• Ideally 3 years Bookkeeping experience
• Some knowledge of accounting terminology
• Proficient in excel
• Good mathematical & organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• A good understanding of a nominal/general ledger within the profit and loss of the business.
• Proactive and self-motivated
• 1-2 years experience using Xero. (desirable)
