Position Summary
The Education and Outreach Director oversees FISH community based education and outreach on Sanibel and Captiva, including:

• Develop a strategic outreach plan to educate and inform various island stakeholders about FISH programs
• Recruit FISH volunteers
• Develop and conduct public workshop and education opportunities for SanCap workforce and residents.

Supervision
Reports directly to the Executive Director. This position receives support from program staff but does not have any direct reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an outreach strategy to create touchpoints across Sanibel and Captiva, including residents and local workforce
• Cultivate relationships across the community in order to inform the islands about available services from FISH as well as volunteer opportunities
• Run regular community focus groups to ensure community feedback for FISH programming and unmet community needs
• Manage Community Contacts in Apricot database
• Recruit volunteers through community events and outreach
• Collect and monitor data and demographic information for all senior program activity within case management database, Apricot
• Create, plan, and implement all FISH workshops and educational opportunities
• Develop and manage department budget for education and outreach
• Serve as the administrative liaison with the Finance team to ensure funding budgets are built collaboratively and that grant funds are drawn down in accordance with donor expectations.
• Manage FISH’s grant funding efforts including researching opportunities, developing strategies, overseeing the accuracy of grant applications, meeting all grant deadlines and compiling monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Work with the Executive staff and Development committee to seek new corporate, foundation, and government grant revenue sources.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure grant deadlines are met, information is accurate, and funds are raised in support of FISH’s mission.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
