As an Accountant with FirstPort you will contribute to our vision of being the favourite residential property manager by:

• Preparing financial reports, year end accounts and annual budgets for our customers, with a focus on accuracy and making financial information easy to understand for non-financial managers and customers

This role reports to the Service Charge Accounting Team Leader

About You

You have at least 2 years experience in an accounting environment.

You are looking for the next step in your career, to gain your AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification which we can help you with whilst working.

Your ideal role is one where you can utilise your accounting knowledge and your high attention to detail. You will use your strong communication skills to see and challenge information, ensuring a smooth, timely accounting process is delivered.

You are customer focused and thrive working collaboratively and in a fast paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Produce year end service charge accounts, budgets and reporting for customers in a timely fashion
• Review accounts, budgets and reports with property managers to ensure they are accurate and easy to understand
• Resolve issues and process changes to financial records following reviews
• Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to both team and organisational goals
• Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver an efficient audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
• Adopt a proactive approach at all times, liaising with colleagues/ managers on areas of concern
• Take full responsibility of your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/ external parties.
