Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure our Global Infrastructure and operations team is looking for a motivated Infrastructure Engineer II to design and build CICD pipeline laydown for Kubernetes strategy for Firstlight Microservices based in San Diego or in Toronto, Canada.

About the role-

Develop continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins X, Maven and extensively use terraform to deploy infrastructure as code.

Perform cloud migrations and cloud support using various tools like terraform, Jenkins, ansible, packer etc.

Participate in designing and deploying all the infrastructure support tools and make them production ready towards their integration with Firstlight’s micro services.

Support software containerization platforms like docker and support extensive usage of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and docker swarm.

Interact with the various stakeholders and gather the requirements, and Dockerize applications.

Create Docker file, Images, Kubernetes, Helm and Yaml artifact

Set up and manage Kubernetes cluster and Rancher for container orchestration.

Create Helm charts for various modules and deploy the applications.

Scan, fix the vulnerability, and package update related to docker images.

Set up Jenkins, Jenkins X and integrate it with various components.

Create Ansible playbooks and scripts for CI/CD implementation.

Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for legacy Single and Full module deployments.

Firstlight Media staff reports into offices in a hybrid capacity (i.e partially at home, and partially at the office based on role/team needs) leveraging safety protocols aligned with local public health guidelines as they relate to COVID-19.

About you-

Minimum 5 years’ experience in software development, with exposure in Golang.

Ability to develop software in Java or other programming languages.

Experience in design and development of micro services.

Exposure to Kubernetes based software development and deployment.

Experience in AWS, Azure and GCP.

Exposure in media processing, video engineering, OTT domain.

Experience in GITOPS development methodology, agile and CICD process.

Excellent knowledge of relational databases, MySQL and Couchbase.

Proficiency in software engineering tools (GIT, Maven, Jenkins X).

Easy-going and flexible individual who can integrate and function within a pre-existing team and operate with moderate supervision.

Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

A creative thinker and problem solver, capable of multitasking.
