Payroll Data Entry Clerk

Join First Transit as a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Data Entry Clerk assists the General Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll function. This position is responsible for the completion of new employee profiles, payroll, benefits enrollments, and other clerical accounting functions. Payroll Data Entry Clerk major responsibilities:

• Performs data entry using word processing, spreadsheet or database commands and formats material as required.
• Creates data directories subdirectories for file and generation retrieval purposes. Maintains paper and/or disk file of entered data.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks related to hardware/software or files technical assistance requests as necessary.
• Reviews discrepancies in data received requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data and performs data verification routines in accordance with company procedures.
• Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and publications flow and makes recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensue standards in data entry, collection and retrieval.
• Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Payroll Data Entry Clerk requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous administrative experience.
• Ability to type 40+ wpm
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Office 365
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills to communicate and cooperate with employees and all location managers
• Strong attention to detail and total confidentiality
