Job description:
First Quantum Minerals is one of the world’s biggest mining companies, employing over 20,000 people.
Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation is our flagship operation in Australia. Located on the beautiful south coast of Western Australia, we’re just a short commute from the coastal community of Hopetoun. As a major nickel producer and exporter, we aim to ship up to 30,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate each year via Esperance Port.
First Quantum Minerals are currently seeking skilled administrators for a number of roles across a variety of departments to join our Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation.
Working an 8:6 roster, the Recruitment Officer will report to the Human Resources Superintendent, working closely with the RNO HR Team to provide a high-level end-to-end recruitment service to Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation.

Key Accountabilities
-
Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including shortlisting, interviewing, reference checks, medicals, National Police Clearances and relocations as required.

Source, select and place top talent into a range of roles, including Technical, Professional, Operator and Tradesman roles.

Generate local and national sourcing strategies, which will include career fairs, data base searches, head hunting and networking.

Produce effective advertising campaigns to effectively target and attract the best-suited candidates using the company employment brand and guidelines.

Review applications for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements and submit a suitable shortlist in a timely manner.

Screen candidates to ensure a person-job match, but even more importantly a person-organizational fit.

Be a recruitment business partner to hiring managers. Assisting them in making recruitment decisions.

Manage the presentation, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in offering a position to a candidate.

Manage all recruitment within the Applicant Tracking System.

Get involved in ad-hoc recruitment related duties / projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
-
Human Resource qualification or suitable experience
-
Experience in an internal recruitment, high volume/project recruitment role (highly desirable)

Demonstrated background in the successful utility of candidate screening as well as assessment methodologies will be required

Proven track record of successful placements and strong business relationships
-
Team player, able to work unsupervised to achieve departmental goals

Motivated, accountable for actions with a sense of urgency to achieve goals

Diligent, accurate and can function well under pressure
