Senior Structural Engineer

First People Solutions are recruiting for a successful Consulting Engineering firm in the centre of Glasgow. Due to their current workload they require an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural team and delivery success within their current workload in Building Structures. They are busy working on a broad range of projects in several sectors including a great deal of work in the Education, Commercial and Leisure sectors.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with extensive Project management, Client management and Civil Structural design experience. This is a Lead Engineer role in the company and there is an opportunity to progress to Associate level.

Your experience, background and approach to work will include:

• Experienced Structural Engineer with 5-7 years of professional experience
• Extensive experience undertaking the design and project management of structural engineering projects as a team lead.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer preferred or close to
• Strong understanding of building regulations, health & safety procedures and the production of structural designs.
• Conversant in industry relevant software
• Be client facing and manage projects effectively
• Can mentor graduate engineers
