Our client is looking for an ambitious Geotechnical Design Engineer to join their expanding geotechnical team in Glasgow.
The Job:
Our client has years of industry experience and works in a range of major sectors across the global; including Transport and Energy. They are continuously growing and need a driven Geotechnical Engineer to support the design delivery of new & existing projects. You will have 3 years of experience within a civil design team and strong technical abilities.
- Prepare and check design calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earthworks, etc. and ensure the requirements for overall performance are met.
- Deliver the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects
- Prepare calculations, drawings and relevant documents and ensuring these are monitored during project lifecycle
- Support less experienced staff including Graduate Engineers and Technicians
What we need from you:
- MEng or BEng in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering or similar discipline
- 3-5 years of experience within a civil design team
- Experience in the use of geotechnical software such as GEOSLOPE Suite, Holebase, Oasys Suite, etc.
- Full UK driving licence
