Admin & Office Assistant
First Mid Bank & Trust Hiring for Administrative Assistant II Full Time
Responsible for scanning, document filing, oversight of scholarship program, income tax processing, escrow payments, and general record-keeping for the Trust Department. Maintains customer files in an orderly manner and ensures that such files are complete and updated as necessary. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Wealth Management Department. Proved oversight of scheduling and job assignments of administrative support staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining current customer files.
- Oversees the Trust Department scholarship program.
- Maintains the Trust Department income tax processing.
- Assists with answering the telephones and assists other personnel as needed.
- Cross-sell trust and farm products and services in a professional manner.
- Assist staff in the Trust/Farm/Brokerage areas relating to administrative duties and resolving customer questions as needed.
- Cross-sell bank products and services in a professional manner.
- Completed required training associated with job function.
- Supervises and is responsible for training and development of Assistant I.
- Serves as account administrator on selected fiduciary accounts.
- Responsible for training trust staff on the use of, and responsible for oversight regarding the proper use of the department’s document storage system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
- Specialized education/training normally acquired through one year of experience.
Skills:
- Good balancing skills and knowledge of spreadsheet programs.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of WordPerfect and/or Word.
- Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
- High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional manner.
- Adequate knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
- Proficient in use of trust accounting software and basic trust accounting principles.
