Job Summary: Strategic partner to the CEO in the management and reporting of all fiscal and operational information to the Executive Management team and the Board of Directors. Oversees the bank’s accounting, tax, and financial functions; prepares cash flow forecasts; plans, coordinates, and directs the accounting department’s operations; establishes bank-wide priorities and operational goals in coordination with the CEO; assures department objectives and standards are defined, attained, and consistent with the overall goals of the bank.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Controller, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounting Specialist; may supervise Human Resources Director

Responsibilities:

• Presents monthly reports to the Board of Directors and senior management

• Oversees the financial functions of the institution

• Develops and implements financial institution fiscal plans and policies

• Prepares and submits all company press releases that are financial in nature

• Assists with lease negotiation and major purchasing decisions

• Provides direction for planning model runs; reviews and approves office property improvement requests

• Participates in determining deposit and loan rates

• Reviews third-party liquidity/funding reports, cash flow forecasts and liquidity stress tests

• Manages day to day overnight funding position for the bank

• Makes investment decisions with excess bank funds in coordination with CEO

• Principal borrowing officer for wholesale funding channels

• Supervises quarterly interest rate sensitivity model preparation

• Oversee preparation of Annual Report to shareholders and Proxy Statement

• Principal liaison for primary bank regulatory examinations

• Member of Executive, Asset/Liability, Technology, and Asset Classification Committees of the bank as well as board member for Nevada Investment Subsidiary

• Manages annual budget process and actual vs. budget variance monthly reporting

• Prepares monthly tax entries and work with tax partner on quarterly estimated tax payments to appropriate taxing authorities

• Provide all accounting/reporting for the REIT and review the same for Nevada Subsidiary

• Prepares capital trending reports and capital planning forecasts

• Reviews Call Report quarterly for the FDIC and Y9-SP for the FED

• Primary contact for investor relations with shareholders

• Oversee shareholder ownership transitions with transfer agent

• Directs and supervises development, production, promotion and sale of the organization’s products and services

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial position, with extensive administrative experience in financial institutions

• Extensive background in financial institution accounting and auditing, operations, and policies and procedures related to procurement

• High-level analytical and communication skills

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skillset

• Ability to manage a group of highly trained personnel
