We are now looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team on a full-time basis and take on a learning-focused role in the development of our OptimiseRx software solution.

The Role

As a Junior Software Developer, you’ll be playing a key role in the development of our OptimiseRx software solution, helping to make it into world-leading healthcare management software.

This is a developing role where you will take on further responsibilities as you progress and expand your skillset. You will help to innovate and move OptimiseRx forwards, taking part in design, development and deployment activities for the software.

You will collaborate with Developers, Product Team members and Data Analysts to learn about the software and take part in its development.

Working collaboratively with the Product Owner, you will perform critical assessments, challenge assumptions and identify paths to define acceptance criteria that mitigate potential risk.

You’ll work across the development lifecycle analysing and scoping requirements, creating production code and taking ownership of a range of processes.

Once trained, you’ll take part in an out-of-hours support rota and will need to be flexible to assist during releases that may fall outside of normal hours.

About You

To be considered as a Junior Software Developer, you will need:

• At a minimum, GCSEs at Grade C or above in English language and Mathematics
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent time-management skills
• An interest in contributing towards meetings and discussions

A BTEC, A-Level or equivalent in Maths or IT would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in the healthcare industry. Software programming experience would also be advantageous, as would a degree, but we are looking for ability and enthusiasm over skills and experience.
