Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Gloucester – This is a multisite role and will include travel to 2 other locations
Key responsibilities:
First point of contact for HR enquiries from managers and employees, ensuring accurate HR advice and highest level of confidentiality
Advising managers and employees on the terms and conditions of employment
Completing the full recruitment process and managing the new starter and leaver process
Managing complex employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence
Providing advice on recruitment and selection strategies
Keeping abreast of legislation affecting human resources; train/update managers where applicable on employment law changes and monitor company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Maintenance of personnel files in line with GDPR
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and respond to inquiries regarding these
Identify and recommend areas of improvement
Handle confidential matters with discretion
Provide insight and recommendations on HR initiatives that can be leveraged to strengthen business results
Participate in the development and implementation of projects
Liaise with payroll to ensure timely submission of any payroll amendments
Support with drafting and issuing staff communications/newsletter/updates
Knowledge/Experience:
Proven track record as a HR generalist, preferably at advisor level.
CIPD qualified to level 5 or relevant demonstratable experience.
Excellent all-round knowledge of up-to-date UK employment law.
Experience of writing and implementing HR policies, procedures, offers and contracts of employment.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Ability to support and influence stakeholders including senior managers.
Adaptability and flexibility – willingness to flex hours to support business requirements (on occasions).
The base location for this role will be Gloucester, but you must have a willingness to use own transport to travel to all other site locations – Tewkesbury and Worcester.
