Finance Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team. The Fiance team is based in London but this role will be based in Belfast.

Day to day activities will include

Purchase Ledger

• Recording supplier bills within Xero.
• Creating supplier accounts and updating the accounting system with supplier information changes on a timely basis.
• Submitting invoices for approval and proactively tracking the approval stages.
• Monitor incoming supplier invoices, matching to correct cost centres.
• Inputting and processing high volume of purchase invoices in multiple currencies.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Resolving Queries with External Suppliers & Internal Buyers.

Bank

• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Extracting bank statements and uploading them to Xero.
• Reconciling credit cards.
• Chasing credit card holders for missing receipts.
• Chasing receipts and bills for approval.
• Preparing and submitting BACS payment to suppliers.

Other

• Responsible for the training of new joiners in the use of the company’s finance software.
• To support the Finance Manager through the provision of timely and accurate financial reports including month end reconciliations.
• Preparation of different reports on a regular basis. For the team, and for the company overall.
• Assisting the team during Year End and annual audit.

Administration / Operations

• Working with the team to ensure all finance systems are properly maintained and up to date.
• Filing documents and administration tasks.
• Responsible for Finance department documentation management.
• Arrangements for new joiners and leavers.
