Fintel Connect Hiring for Senior Software Developer at Vancouver, BC Full Time

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our growing team. You’ll be a critical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on delivering timely solutions and adapting strategies to ensure expectations are met. You are a natural problem solver always looking for a way to reach the goals of the department and business.

You’ll be the cornerstone of the Internal Development team, with a focus on training and ensuring all technical team members (internal and external) have the tools they need to deliver on the yearly roadmap.

Key Success Criteria

1) Increase system development so Fintel Connect technology to attract and support client growth

2) Manage internal team against defined roadmap, while considering external development

3) Increase knowledge internally of tech architecture and stack

4) Consistently hitting and surpassing development team weekly KPIs

What you’ll do:
Development

Develop a deep understanding of our tech stack (listed below) and work with all the outlined systems in meeting development goals

Functionally develop on the existing full-stack system, while managing unforeseen challenges

Implement easy to read ‘clean’ code, while employing industry-standard best practices

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, setting an example for others by proactively tackling challenges, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions

You’ll take pride in your work, be highly accountable, and skilled at creating peer accountability in pursuit of gaining accomplishments and increasing performance

You operate with a growth mindset and demonstrate an appetite for learning about new technologies

Management

Coordinate with external development teams to ensure the smooth rollout of all development

Manage senior stakeholders by setting realistic expectations and ensuring transparency on deadlines

Strategy

Sets processes for the internal development team to reach goals of quality and speed with deployments

You’ll proactively look at ways we can improve our architecture and structure and provide sustainable solutions

What you need:
5+ years of software development experience

Experience with infrastructure and operations for a B2B SaaS and Data Analytics platforms

You’ve worked with large scale both SQL and non-SQL databases, MongoDB, AWS etc.

Experience running a team of minimum 2+ people
