Responsible for the project planning and execution of one or more products/projects throughout its lifecycle, including: defining the project vision, developing roadmaps, gathering, and prioritizing requirements, and working closely with engineering, business, support, and industry participants to deliver high quality solutions while ensuring business objectives and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Lead Technical Project Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the resulting product supports the company and department’s strategy and goals.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for planning and managing large-scale / multiple projects or products from the design phase through implementation, while leveraging cross-functional relationships to evaluate and determine objectives, goals, and scope of any given project.
- Implementation of workplace solutions with a focus on the Virtual Desktop architecture platforms such as Citrix, Windows 365/Azure Virtual Desktop and evolving DaaS in this space. Taking ownership of the Virtual Desktop Product roadmap through product research, development and working closely with vendor contacts.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop product/project management, deployments, training, and communications.
- Experience with Enterprise Personalization Management solutions such as AppSense or equivalent technologies.
- Assist with roadmap planning, deployment planning and customer communication for operating system upgrades (Windows, Mac and Virtual Desktop).
- Assist with enhancing customer communication and collaboration in accordance with their transition towards the Modern Digital Workplace.
- Manage project teams (inside and outside the department) and all Workspace Engineering project processes throughout the project life cycle including project progress tracking, monitoring change control processes, issue and risk management, testing, documentation, training and collecting project team and customer feedback to be incorporated into future activities, support models, and projects.
- Assess risks/perform due diligence and design risk mitigation approaches by proactively modifying the project approach, as required, in order to meet project objectives.
- Facilitate problem solving and decision making.
- Stay aware of industry trends in order to deliver innovative solutions.
- Engage in customer outreach and support to build and maintain customer relationships, including training of support teams, managing escalated issues, and ensuring products and services delivered meet customer needs, and contributing to organizational outreach activities including technology showcases, drafting of articles for newsletters and participating in other outreach activities.
- Evaluate customer feedback and issues for identification of problems with a potential for enterprise risk / impact and developing solutions.
- Create ambitious but achievable project plans and manage work according to those plans. Be cognizant of project staff’s workload to ensure that tasks can be completed according to schedule without impacting competing milestones.
- Actively track and achieve progress against plan with regular project team and individual meetings.
- Develop detailed requirements, plans, and budget for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues using extended teams and 3rd parties to allocate action, responsibility, and workload.
- Lead change management throughout product deployment, rollout, training, and customer adoption by taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, internal project resources, external project resources, and utilize those relationships effectively while managing and delivering projects.
- Consult frequently with project team members in order to identify issues, constraints, competing milestones, and other items that may impact delivery, then adjust plans by assigning/reassigning work, reviewing progress/results and changing work procedures or team members, as necessary.
- Ensure milestones are achieved, project objectives are met with quality and client satisfaction of results.
- Lead adoption of products/projects and organizational change management, taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities to drive product/project awareness, generating product desire, education, and adoption.
- Excellent Data analytics tooling experience as well as analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis using common toolsets such as Excel, Power BI, etc.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or IT-related degree with a component of customer support or equivalent experience.
- Eight (8) years technology experience that includes 6 years of related experience leading enterprise desktop management, application implementation projects, or related technology projects.
- Ability to define product and service delivery strategies and or product roadmaps.
- Project management or customer adoption (Organizational Change Management) related certifications, such as PMP or PROSCI certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of development methodologies and technical life-cycles such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Knowledge of Organizational Change Management (Product Adoption) methodologies such as ADKA.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities for time, resources, scope, and stakeholder expectations.
- Past experience with managing enterprise project deployments (Citrix, Window 365/Azure Virtual desktop and evolving DaaS).
- Data analytics.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform data analysis using common toolsets such as Excel.
- Strong written, verbal technical, and end-user communication skills required.
- Experience documenting requirements.
- Ability to handle several tasks concurrently, well organized and thorough.
- Ability to maintain focus in “crisis” situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.
- Ensure open communication across project team.
- Ability to make clear and concise recommendations to management teams.
- Knowledge/experience with project budgets and forecasting.
- Experience with MS Project, or equivalent.
- Ability to develop consensus across organizational lines.
- Ability to develop and document well thought out business case for new solutions.
- Self-driven and result-oriented with ability to lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions:
- Work is normally performed in an office environment.
