Employment opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Billing Clerk to join our finance team in Sydney on a permanent basis. The role will involve taking responsibility for, and ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of the billing function.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
• Inspecting and checking billing batches to ensure accuracy
• Identifying and rectifying errors in billing batches
• Ensuring effective and accurate administration and storage of billing information
• Producing sales invoices from billing batches
• Manually consolidating/splitting invoices
• Dealing with urgent invoices with billing managers
• Liaising with key stakeholders in relation to billing queries, errors and issues
• Reversing invalid sales invoices and cancelling transactions
• Dealing with internal employee expenses

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a similar position
• Advanced Excel experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Good interpersonal and numeracy skills
• Previous experience working in a consultancy would be an advantage but not essential
