• POSITION SUMMARY:
• Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/designee establishes, maintains and enhances systems within the unit to achieve positive outcomes. This includes planning, initiation and evaluation of all aspects of Clinical issues, nursing practice and customer service
• QUALIFICATIONS:
• EDUCATION:
• Minimum:
• Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
• Preferred:
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing and/or certification in individual specialty.
• LICENSE:
• Minimum:
• Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
• Minimum:
• BLS, PALS, and ENPC required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum:
• One year LTC experience
• Preferred:
• Two or more years LTC experience
• SKILLS:
• Minimum:
• One year of Med-Surg experience or LTC Charge Nurse experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Computer literacy required
• Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
