Overview

The role requires a skilled graduate analyst to join the Reporting & Analytics team, which supports the development and execution of the financial strategy across the group through the application of statistical methodology and analytical principles that informs commercial decisions. As a Graduate Analyst you will collect relevant data, perform statistical analysis, and communicate financial and non-financial insights to stakeholders in the business.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Creating reports for business units using appropriate tools including MS Excel, Power Query, Power BI and Adaptive Insights planning© tool to assist decision making.
• Ensuring relevant data is kept up to date and audited periodically.
• Using statistical measures and/or accepted forecasting methodologies to provide the basis for analysis documents.
• Engaging in budgeting and forecasting processes by coordinating with stakeholders and team members to provide targets to business units, and a forward-looking view of performance.
• Analysing trends and assessing risks through visualisation of data and communicating findings to stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
• Preparing monthly reports and reconciling values before submission to stakeholders.
• General administration and team coordination
• Support the annual and ongoing process for your business units and examine the financial projections for the company.
• Analyse and interpret the weekly & monthly performance data and produce relevant statistics to describe and infer particular trends and patterns
• Defining and analysing current and past complex financial information to understand the key drivers of performance and project forward, including scenario-base reporting
• Analysing trends and assessing risks through visualisation of data in line with the financial services market.
• Use business reporting tools and visualisation tools to evaluate the reliability of the results.
• Present analysis in writing, visually or orally to effectively communicate the analysis.
• Respond to queries and request that will involve data extraction, data analysis, financial modelling and report preparation for non-accountant audience.
• Communicate financial results and drivers to stakeholders in both written and oral formats.
• Liaising with business stakeholders to help drive performance and determine the key area to be surveyed or examined

Essential Skills

• Tertiary Degree Qualification (Business/Commerce degree will be looked at favourably)
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
