Finch Hiring for Accounting Clerk Job at Remote Full Time

Accounting Clerk

Finch is looking for a motivated accounting clerk who is ready to apply their accounting knowledge and skills to a real-world environment to join our growing company. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, processing AP, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in finance or accounting. The position reports to the Controller. This is a paid full-time position based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but will be mostly or completely remote.

Job Responsibilities

• Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation

• Assist with audits

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Manage monthly tracking of physical inventory

• Support the payment processing team

• Assist with data entry

• Assist with Commission calculations and reporting

• Assist in maintaining certain accounting ledgers

• Resolve AP issues and discrepancies

• GL account reconciliations

• Certain month-end closing tasks

• Assist in recording monthly accruals and amortizations

• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

• Assist with other projects as needed

Experience and Skills

• Currently enrolled in (or completed) a finance or accounting Bachelor’s program or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Technological competency

• Ability to work remotely and complete tasks without supervision

• Prior Finance or Accounting experience a plus

• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Google Docs also a plus

• SaaS experience a plus

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Experience with QuickBooks a plus, multi-currency accounting also a plus

• 1-2 years accounting experience, SaaS experience a plus

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
