The Role

The Financial Times is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support in hiring the very best editorial talent both in the UK and the US, as well as across our many bureaus globally.

This role sits within the editorial management team and will report directly to the Editorial Talent Acquisition Manager. We are a collaborative, friendly team working in a fast paced exciting environment at the heart of the Financial Times newsroom in London. You’ll need to demonstrate agility and excellent organisational skills, as well as the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with writing inclusive job descriptions, sourcing candidates, shortlisting, organising interviews and conducting phone interviews with candidates
• Develop innovative and proactive sourcing strategies that promote DE&I best practice to deliver high quality candidate pipelines
• Effectively build talent pools and proactively engage with top talent using a variety of tools including social media
• In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager, support and develop processes focused on equipping the business with the tools they need to hire the very best diverse talent
• Liaise directly with Hiring Managers regarding their vacancies, providing support and advice on recruitment best practices
• Work closely with the business to understand the skills, competencies, and experience necessary for success in each role

Your skills

• Previous recruitment experience within a news organisation would be highly advantageous
• Previous experience recruiting for editorial roles would be beneficial
• A background in using innovative sourcing strategies to pipeline talent
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation
• Ability to multitask and work at pace within a deadline driven, fast paced environment
• Exemplary attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organisational skills
