Instructional Designer

Finance of America Reverse (FAR) is a top reverse mortgage lender which means that we help people access the equity in their homes to support their retirement strategy. As we continue leading our industry, FAR is shaping public perception about reverse mortgages while leading the way in product innovation.
To support our efforts, we are looking for an Instructional Designer to help raise the bar in education working within with FAR’s Learning and Professional Development Division. The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating training materials and programs to facilitate the rollout of a professional development program. We are looking for someone who is collaborative and will find great satisfaction in working within a team.
Essential Job Functions
· Design and develop learning content that engages the learner and enhances knowledge retention
· Create interactive and engaging ways to communicate instructional content knowledge as well as provide feedback on other team members’ materials
· Design, develop and edit online learning material and content in SCORM format
· Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of trainings
·
· Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
· Use the ADDIE model to develop training materials:
o Analyze – Conduct needs assessments. Collaborate with the SME and Course Owners who confirm findings, gather content, track down answers and provide feedback
o Design – Build course outlines including title, description, objectives, steps, audience, duration, delivery method, etc.
o Develop – Storyboards, audio scripts, etc. Transform the outline and storyboards into eLearning modules, webinars, user guides, job-aides, micro-learning and video tutorials.
o Implement – Work collaboratively with the trainers to deploy in person or webinar training. May involve coordinating enrollment and scheduling classes. Assist with creating engaging corporate communications about course information to encourage participation. Mastery of Learning Management System to make training available via the web.
o Evaluate – Create, deliver and assess surveys and compile results to determine effectiveness of training.
· Maintain project documentation and course folders
· Update and edit existing instructional material as necessary
· Provide customer service in accordance with the standards set forth by the Company
· Promote and display Finance of America’s core values: Partnership, Service, Empowerment and Excellence
Requirements
· Degree in business, instructional design, systems, educational technology or similar relevant field or 4-years’ relevant experience
· 2 years’ experience in corporate instructional design required
· Proficiency with Articulate 360 and Camtasia software
· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
· Experience in Vyond preferred
· Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
· Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods
