Work for one of Australia’s leading eCommerce digital agencies, specialising in the development of cutting-edge eCommerce sites with traditional frontends and Shopify engines, and you’ll be working with some of the most experienced developers in the market.

As a Frontend Developer, you will be helping brick and mortar stores create an online experience, essentially working to “bottle up” the unique aspects of their brand and create a beautiful, high-converting eCommerce experience. In most cases, you will be the sole developer on a project and will “own” the development aspect of our work.

Key Responsibilities

• As part of a team of Web Developers, your responsibilities will be to work across multiple websites in aiding the development and when need is troubleshooting
• Large emphasis put on collaboration within the team and the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
• Give your input for digital strategies of the project whilst working with the teams and providing reports
• Manage all backend and frontend operations and processes of the Shopify websites to ensure the efficient and effective running of the platform
• Work on the Shopify architecture end to end and identify/mitigate any technical issues and improvements to meet business goals for the clients

Position Requirements

• Experience developing and launching sites on Shopify, able to code a theme from scratch, build custom websites and plugins
• Strong exposure to various front-end development tools and technologies: Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Knowledgeable in Shopify responsive design and development
• Has a good understanding of command-line GIT processes
• Ability to manage Ubuntu and CentOS servers
• Knowledge of REST API and Soap API
• In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
• Strong Debugging Skills – can diagnose issues with tools or scripting methods to replicate issues
