Responsibilities:
Support the Packaging Department in ensuring all production of cannabis flower and extracts follows regulations and Quality Assurance guidelines
Review and updated Standard Operating Procedures and assist department with Change Controls and any corrective/preventive actions
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of the Packaging team along with the Manufacturing Coordinator to align with demand planning
Track inventory and monitor throughput versus target within ERP System
Develop and implement strong reporting measures for the senior management team
Ensure that appropriate quality measures are being incorporated into our packaging processes
Identify, investigate, correct, and document potential environmental and safety problems in conjunction with our Health and Safety Officer
Assist to create production and yield forecasts considering available capacity and production schedule
Assist in resolving staffing problems within packaging department
Identify training needs within the packaging department
Maintain compliance with the regulations specified within the Cannabis Act
Maintain documentation control of all production records (ex. SOPs, Cleaning Records, etc.)
Candidate Profile:
Post-Secondary education in a related field
Minimum three years leadership experience
Leadership experience within a regulated manufacturing industry considered a strong asset
(i.e. Pharma/Food/Beverage/Cannabis)
Production Planning and Manufacturing experience considered a strong asset
Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) would be considered a strong asset
Advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel
Experience with reporting, analytics, and forecasting
Solution-oriented and proactively drives process improvement
Builds strong relationships within the team and cross-functional partners
Self-starter who works independently, takes responsibility, and demonstrates integrity
Additional Information:
Wages: To be determined based on experience
Status: Full-Time, Permanent Position; Able to support overtime and weekend work if required
