FIGR Hiring for Director of Finance at Charlottetown, PE Full Time

Overall Job Purpose:
FIGR is seeking a Director of Finance to help guide the company’s continued growth and success. As a key member of FIGR’s senior management team, the successful candidate will have broad responsibility for the oversight and execution of all financial activities required to meet the company’s long-term goals. In working with the other members of the senior management team, this individual will lead forecasting and budgeting initiatives, monitor financial systems and internal controls, as well as contribute financial reporting for board, shareholder, and other stakeholder communications. The successful candidate will have strong financial analysis, modelling, and reporting experience, preferably in fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
As a critical member of FIGR’s Senior Management Team, this individual will participate actively in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan

Communicate as a key interface with both internal and external stakeholders.

Lead the company’s financial planning activities including budgeting and financial modelling.

Monitor company performance against benchmarks and report on insights of performance against competitors.

Lead risk management efforts including the implementation and monitoring of proper internal controls and systems.

Support department leaders with sound financial and data analysis to enable operational and strategic decision making that aligns with company objectives.

Monitor the company’s ERP system and ensure the financials accurately reflect company operations.

Oversee internal finance team functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and regulatory reporting.

Report on financial performance and provide insight into performance to the board, company shareholders, and other external stakeholders

Maintain and help to optimize a transparent, positive, and enjoyable work culture.

Candidate Profile:
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance.

CPA strongly preferred.

Manufacturing experience preferred with knowledge of standard costing.

Previous experience (2+ years) in a senior leadership role.

Must have a positive, roll up your sleeves, team player attitude

Highly comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic industry
