The Early Careers team is responsible for the attraction, selection and development of our Solicitor Apprentices and Trainee Solicitors across our Birmingham, London and Manchester offices. We are looking for an Early Careers Co-ordinator to join the team who can support with the recruitment processes for our Trainees and Apprentices across the firm. The team is based in London, Manchester and Belfast and forms part of the wider HR team, therefore the role will require travel to campus events and all of our UK offices on a number of occasions through the year.
What to expect
You will be supporting the Early Careers Manager with the attraction, selection and development of the Early Careers population (Trainees, Solicitor Apprentices and short-term insight schemes) across three key offices in the UK.
Attraction
Support with the organisation and management of all campus recruitment event logistics, including organising internal and external events, courier materials, book venues and catering (when on campus) and book travel.
Attend campus recruitment events across the UK. This will include working with and in time, presenting at schools and universities.
Support the organisation of vacation schemes, in-office events, and diversity & inclusion events.
Overall responsibility for the Early Careers Social Media channels
Assist the Early Careers Manager and in-house marketing team in drafting promotional materials including Early Careers brochure, leaflets and website.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at schools and university careers services.
Be a point of contact for external marketing providers.
Selection
Scoring of apprentice solicitors applications and graduate application forms
Administering online strengths test and collating results
Coordination of phone interviews, assessment centres and Partner interviews
Manage the relationship with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience and high acceptance rate.
Manage internal and external job postings and candidate offer process.
Manage applicant-tracking system.
Development
Support the co-ordination of the annual trainee and apprentice induction
Arranging mid seat and end of seat catch ups
Maintain a close working relationship with our education providers
Provide support for seat rotations, secondments and the qualification process
Oversee trainee on-boarding
General
Support the wider team on Inclusiveness and Diversity initiatives
Manage Early Careers recruitment inbox and be the main point of contact for candidate queries
Respond to telephone enquiries
A bit about you
Proven experience in Early Careers and Student Recruitment preferably within the legal or professional services sectors
Administration and coordination experience in an office environment is essential
Previous experience in using a range of social media tools within an organisation
Excellent communication skills and an ability to adapt your style based on your audience
Confident presenting in front of an audience
Strong IT skills including Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organisation and time management skills
A keen eye for detail
Flexibility to travel and sometimes attend events outside of normal working hours
Self-motivated to work autonomously and as part of a small team
Ability to perform well under pressure.
