This is an exciting opportunity to join Field Studies Council’s Biodiversity team to curate and create engaging adult learning courses to meet objectives of one of the UK’s leading environmental education charities.
The post holder will lead a group focused upon development and delivery of in-person courses and projects. They will maintain training standards and tutor networks for a portfolio of subjects and work with course co-ordinators and marketing to arrange course delivery. The post will be part of a national team with ambitious targets for income and impact. The scope for the team is 200+ online and place-based courses per year about biodiversity, natural history and environmental art. The focus is delivery in the UK through commercial and philanthropic funding including our successful Young Darwin Scholarship.
Success will achieve accessible learning outcomes for target audiences by developing/upscaling learning pathways. This includes providing support for learners and links to partner organisations and Field Studies Council Publications.
Key responsibilities include:
To line manage an enthusiastic group (currently 5 roles).
To oversee the group in development, delivery (by associate tutors) and customer service of in-person courses covering 25+ natural history subjects at venues across the UK.
To work towards financial targets for the in-person course programme.
