Fidelity Investments Hiring for Senior Software Engineer, Squad Quality Enablement Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking software engineers in our Quality Center of Excellence with an implemental focus on coaching and mentoring software engineers on Agile Squads. A person in this role can expect to support these software engineers developing solutions that address overall quality through delivery. This individual will have SME (subject matter expertise) in Quality Assurance and collaborate with squads and their unique needs. These needs can include automation solutions, tooling strategies, and pipeline application health check recommendations.

• Working with squads within multiple domains to build and implement effective test strategies

• Support and empower squad members enabling delivery with increased value

• Remove quality related impediments

• Developing sound testing strategies

• Lead, learn and train software engineers, this will include different approaches for a most effective outcome

• Networking within the domains to establish relationships and learning opportunities

• Understanding and supporting of Quality related compliance and ing requirements

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Multi-stack engineer with a strong knowledge of development technologies and test automation frameworks: JavaScript; Ruby (or JAVA); Cucumber; Serenity; Selenium; Junit; HTTP; Ready API

• 4+ years of experience with building and testing application strategies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

• Multiple experiences in software engineering, delivering technology solutions, and driving large complex programs leveraging different testing tools

• Effective communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence decisions and engage across multiple squads

• You proactively develop and share your knowledge, expertise and perspectives

• Working knowledge of automation tools

• Incorporate and streamline test automation into build CI/CD pipelines and quality gates

• Monitor, manage and maintain ongoing execution of test suites

The Team

Our CoE members will partner with Software Engineers to build and enhance quality solutions to support our Domains, Product Areas, and Squads. The COE’s support spans across all of FI and provides specialists to squads who develop products with the highest customer quality, security, stability, and experience. We serve and advise software engineers supporting Squads as they deliver on their product roadmaps. We work to ensure that engineering excellence standards encompass the mission of the squads for automated testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI / CD implementation, security testing.
