Senior Software Engineer

The Role

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to work in a team within the Enterprise Technology Software Engineering Domain. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions to support our Corporate Technology Group, with this role focused on integration of services between platforms for maturing Agile tools.

The team is currently engaged on several initiatives to rollout new integrations for our partners. Your role is key to all facets of the delivery process to ensure we deliver scalable and performant solutions aligned to this strategy.

You will work closely with us to help shape the direction and technical implementation of our applications. You will be at the forefront of engineering with a strong focus on engineering excellence. We seek a senior software engineer who is versatile, always eager to tackle new problems and continue to push technology forward.

The Expertise and Skills we are looking For

A software engineer who is passionate about their craft and has an interest and ability to learn and develop using latest web technologies and frameworks. Someone who has five years of design and development experience, has hands on experience with our tech stack, and who is looking to broaden those skills.

Java is core to this role so experience there is essential. There is also considerable Angular development and any previous exposure to AWS services is a bonus.

Your positivity and strength in working within a team of highly talented engineers who are following an agile methodology, coupled with a fantastic ability build relationships with our technology and business partners. You thrive in a team environment, collaborating openly and contributing actively to team deliverables.

A full understanding of the software development process along with skills in a range of different technologies.

Intellectually curious, model a culture of continuous learning, and a willingness to share your expertise with others and to embrace our learning culture.

The Value You Deliver

Designing and developing high quality, simple, maintainable software solutions. Resolving issues and/or identifying approaches to solutions.

Participating in Architecture & Application design to build innovative solutions. Promoting advanced Agile development practices such as CI/CD, TDD etc. and staying in sync with engineering, architectural, and coding standards.
