The Enterprise Cyber Security Customer Protection Production Support team, within EI Production Services organization is looking for a highly motivated associate with expertise in engineering and production operations. As a Principal Engineer in the ECS/CP Team you will be responsible for building and supporting platform capabilities for Business Unit aligned functions including Application Support, Cloud Enablement, Environment Management, Services & Web-tier Operations. By modeling and promoting Fidelity and Agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative Agile culture.
While supporting a complex ecosystem of applications and services that comprise our Digital products, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in engineering, observability, and resiliency to enable the adoption of new technologies. You will bring fresh ideas to:
Creating and implementing operational solutions supporting Digital platforms
Developing tools and capabilities that enable the quick remediation of incidents
Collaborating with development to help increase velocity, code quality, and resiliency
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
8+ years of production operations experience in application, platform, and environments support in any industry (financial preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Strength in expressing complex issues in a clear and concise manner, the ability to drive a message designed to compel thinking and action
Deep experience in application production operations, application frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes (Rancher-K8S, AWS EKS, Azure AKS) and performing deployments
Solid understanding of On Prem and Public Cloud as well as hands on experience working with public cloud (AWS/Azure)
Working experience with Observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana
Knowledge of CI-CD: GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, Terraform, uDeploy
Plan and perform upgrades through automation
Knowledge with task automation using any programming languages. Python preferred
Your communication with peers and leaders is clear and effective
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving, thrive to take initiative to address a problem and get the job done
Agile methodologies experience, willing and excited to add your voice and opinion to discussions on improvements
