Fidelity Investments Hiring for Head of FBT/FIT Data Architecture Full Time

Job Description:

Fidelity Brokerage Technology (FBT) supports retail, workplace, and institutional customers by providing brokerage, clearing and custody services. FBT customers include investment professionals (e.g. financial advisors, registered investment advisors, institutional investors), businesses, and institutions (e.g. broker-dealers, banks, trusts, and family offices). Fidelity Investments holds $11.1 trillion in assets under administration (Q2 2021) and its platforms support 3.5 million total daily trades (Q1 2021).

Are you someone with a strong data technology and leadership background? Do you have an interest in designing highly critical, horizontally scalable, low latency data storage solutions in the cloud? In this role you would lead a team of data architects and drive FBT’s data architectures and strategy.

With a ing relationship to both the Head of FBT Architecture and the Head of FBT Data, you will work closely with Domain Leaders and technology partners to help drive FBT’s data modernization efforts. You will design highly resilient, high performing data solutions that enable FBT to migrate off mainframe-based data stores. Along the way, you will promote strong data principles, patterns and governance through thought leadership and education.

FBT is a highly collaborative team. In addition to domain expertise and relevant experience, you will exemplify a spirit of leadership, partnership, teamwork, and seek to educate partners on the “why” behind key design patterns, methodologies, and architecture decisions. You will seek to elevate and broaden the expertise of your fellow team members.

The Expertise You Have

• 13-15+ years of experience in data related practices including Master Data Management (MDM), Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Design, Integration, Evaluation, and Delivery

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Software, etc.)

• Demonstrated architecture and personal leadership experience

• Knowledge and expertise in cloud data solutions (OLTP, integrated data stores, and warehousing)
