What makes a good recruiter?

Good recruiters don’t just perform their daily tasks well. They make sure their company continuously attracts and keeps good people. Recruiters don’t necessarily have to come from HR backgrounds, though. Experience in sales, design, marketing, customer service, coding and a variety of other fields can foster good recruiting skills. Despite their diverse backgrounds, there are a few qualities all hire-worthy recruiters should share.

Are you able to:

• Build relationships (stay in touch with candidates, clients, references, internal stakeholders)
• Think Ahead (anticipate vs. wait)
• Play well with hiring managers and your team (navigate, communicate, collaborate)
• Keep an open mind (don’t just think out of the box, but be able to look around the corners)
• Empathize (put yourself in someone’s shoes to better understand and connect with them)
• Play multiple roles (marketing, sales, psychologist, advisor)
• Self-improve (able to turn challenges into opportunities and failures into examples to avoid)
• Represent (you are the company ambassador and candidate experience pilot)
• Are brilliant with the basics (master the basics with respect and professionalism)

We are looking for Recruiters that possess the abilities listed above, as well as individuals that have experience doing the following:

• Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
• Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
• Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
• Develop, evaluate, and manage innovative direct sourcing plans to attract diverse talent for both internal (Fidato) and external (Client) needs.
• Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
• Assessing applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
• Completion of all applicant data (from recruitment to placement).
• Promoting the company’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
• Providing recruitment reports to team managers.

Qualifications & Skills (Preferred):

• 3+ years recruiting experienced
• Recruiting background in Accounting & Finance and/or Information Technology industry(s)
• Ability to utilize the latest sourcing tools and methods (LinkedIn, Internet search, etc.)
• Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience a plus (we use Bullhorn)

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
