The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting all functions and departments in the Fibracast facility by ensuring smooth and safe operation of all equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Follow all company and work safety policies and procedures
Follow all mechanical work instructions and procedures
Assist in installation and dismantling of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
Install, troubleshoot and maintain automated machinery, mechanical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
Tooling and alignment of machinery
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools
Carry on preventative maintenance and repair for machines
Inspect and maintain dock doors, Racks and building equipment
Work with service contractors to maintain building and production equipment
Operate man lift machines and power machines
Repair, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Participates in analytical problem solving and can make decisions relating to each problem encountered
Welding and fabrication an asset
CNC machine experience an asset
Work with contractors to install new equipment
Maintain service standards and complete work orders in a timely manner
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Basic automation troubleshooting experience an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong team player skills and support the maintenance team
Electrical experience an asset but required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Overtime as required
