Position Summary : Responsible for the shipping, receiving and warehouse functions, process and coordinate all activities and operations.
Ensure that the departments meet quality, efficiency, and on time shipping requirements while maintaining safety and their cost effectiveness.
Essential Functions Statements : Daily Operations Lead both outgoing and incoming shipping activities to meet shareholder expectations.
Responsible for packing, posting, weight, and shipping charges as applies to each item to be shipped out. Responsible for compiling a list of unfulfilled orders for future reference.
Decide the load limit of each truck used in the loading and delivery process. Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedules.
Notify maintenance unit or contact external service providers in the case of defects on materials for repairs. Carry out regular inventory cycle counts of supplied materials.
Ensure the availability of stock to reduce shortages. Support the simplification and standardization of processes in a bid to enhance effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned. Personnel Management Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures (especially safety programs).
Responsible for developing and maintaining processes to increase productivity and enhance performance. Create an environment where all employees are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential in meeting company goals.
Screen, interview, and manage the onboarding process for new hires. Evaluate employee performance and make pay rate recommendations.
Develop, implement, and train others on maintenance procedures. Develops staff training needs and ensures proper training is obtained.
Facilitate, coach, counsel, and guide the shipping and receiving workgroup. Goals, Objectives, and Communications Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality, efficiency, safety, and eliminate waste (through people, processes, procedures, and equipment).
Establish goals and objectives and assure performance of such is met at the lowest cost and highest quality. Ensure effective interchange of information between all workgroups.
Clear communications across multiple groups and departments (Engineering, Purchasing, etc.). Participates in training : supervisor, laser, break press, etc.
Cost Management and Quality Control Control and minimize labor overtime, freight, and repair expenses. Review production costs and production quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitability.
Monitors equipment, identifying and addressing issues, and manages preventative maintenance. Position Qualifications Lighting Innovations Inc.
