Sr Solution Analyst (SAP)

*Position is Hybrid with ability to work from home up to 2 days per week, starting after your 90th day*

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Senior Solution Analyst to join our Finance Solutions team, supporting SAP. An accounting background, strong interpersonal and analytical skills are recommended for this role but not required. As a Sr. Solution Analyst, you will be coordinating efforts to implement, educate and maintain the enterprise financial systems and processes. You will provide enhancements to existing functionality within the enterprise systems and build a strong partner relationship with end users throughout the organization to define requirements and provide support. In collaboration with other team members, you will identify solutions and implement new functionality to meet operational and ing needs.

What You’ll Do:

• 
  Educate and support end users of our enterprise financial systems through an understanding of the technical solution as well as our business and accounting processes.
• Participate in special projects by taking an analytical role in project proposal, justification, design, development, testing and delivery phases.
• Serve as the key liaison between technical and business areas to analyze and resolve complex business problems. You will implement change requests and build relationships to move things forward.
• You will assist with end to end process documentation and ensure adequate internal controls are in place to guarantee reliability of our financial results.
• Maintain governance policies for the integrity of configuration and information in our financial systems. Document and implement modifications to configuration of those systems and related training materials. Ensure all users are informed and effectively trained.
• Assist with the implementation of system enhancements to automate current processes and increase efficiencies and controls throughout the Company. Tasks may include: studying and documenting current work processes, requirements, risks and constraints, assessing alternative solutions and performing validation and testing.
• Conduct research and gain knowledge in systems software to ensure the highest quality operations and implementations.
• Facilitate and/or participate in monthly business meetings to provide status, identify and implement potential process and/or system enhancements.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams working with and implementing non-financial systems as needed.
• Mentor and train other Solution Analyst on the team to support their growth and development.

What does it take to join our team?

• College degree or equivalent plus three to five years relevant experience required.
• Strong technical aptitude with experience using spreadsheets and databases for ing and analysis and interest in growing your knowledge of SAP system and other financial applications.
• Accounting background with strong interpersonal and analytical skills preferred.
• Understanding of banking processes is a plus.
• Insurance experience, knowledge of GAAP and statutory laws related to accounting and ing for financial services is preferred.
• To be successful, you’ll need to be comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures.
• Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills are a must.
