Site Engineer

A civil engineering contractor are looking to appoint a freelance Site Engineer for a new project starting in Marchwood near Southampton.

The scheme involves upgrades to the existing water treatment site to improve quality and capacity on behalf of Southern Water to improve river water quality, in and around Southampton.

Site engineer will preferably have experience of working on a Water Treatment Works and is comfortable with Foul Water drainage.

Works packages involve civils and reinforced concrete structures and foul drainage installation.

The first phase of works will be for a minimum of 6 months starting from Mid September.

Your duties include:

• Setting out with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Ideally you will have a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering and experience of working on civil engineering projects, however, this is not essential.
