Fawkes & Reece South Looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor at Swindon, Wiltshire Full Time

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who works in collaboration with a water services company and to successfully deliver a range of projects as part of the AMP7 frameworks. The projects range in value from £1m to over £35m. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who will minimise costs and add value whilst maintaining good relationships with other stakeholders.

Your role will be to work closely with the Commercial Manager and mentoring a small team that is working on schemes and projects that are part of the AMP 7 framework. You will be leading a small team that is part of a larger commercial team.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Accurate monthly forecasting including maintaining a detailed cost plan
• Producing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
• Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliations
• Managing any changes in a timely manner in accordance with the forms of contract
• Producing, submitting and agreeing monthly applications
• Liaising with operational and engineering staff to ensure accurate site records are kept
• Attending weekly progress meeting with subcontractors and the client
• Working collaboratively with the bid and estimating team in relation to any contractual queries
• Producing and submitting any compensation events

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Degree-qualified in a civil engineering subject or equivalent

Member of RICS or IOB (or seeking professional membership)

You’ll need good working knowledge and experience working on NEC contracts

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
