Fawkes & Reece South Looking for Senior Planner Highways at Hampshire Full Time

A major civil engineering contractor are recruiting in their Highways Division for an experienced Senior Planner. The business are a multi-discipline contractor working across the UK on major projects like HS2 as well as regional projects for local authorities and private sector clients. The company’s turnover is upwards of £1bn with other divisions specialising in rail, building, aviation and marine projects.

The Senior Planner will work with the highways team covering the National Highways Framework on the South Coast with projects already on the ground between £15m – £60m as well as other projects in the ECI stage up to £200m.

These projects offer different complexities from bridge replacements to tunnelling and require the Senior Planner to have a technical background and experience of working on civil engineering projects in a engineering or site management position.

Senior Planner duties include:

• Creating and amend programmes and tender stage and through construction in P6 Primavera
• Identifying major restrictions and contract requirements (NEC Contracts)
• Work with the pre-construction and delivery team to agree construction methodology, hours, installation and commissioning
• Developing overall programmes, issuing to all relevant parties and input recommendations and amendments
• Work with the commercial team to identify and raise EWN and CE’s
• Throughout construction work closely with the operations team to ensure the programme is maintained, updated and in accordance with the planned works
• Liaising with all stakeholders including designers/subcontractors/clients and internal teams
