RPG/COBOL IBM iSeries Programmer

This is a temporary support position for the current software development and administration staff. Farmers Union Insurance is in the process of migrating our primary data processing off of a legacy IBM iSeries server running SDS. This position will provide support for our legacy system over the course of the transition (3-5 years). Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual processes as well as small improvements to the current system will all be within the scope of work. This position will to directly to the IT Manager in coordination with the Senior Software Developer.

The following experience is required:

• 10+ years experience working with RPG/COBOL and/or IBM iSeries software.
• 4+ years experience working with SQL.
• Experience with SDS data solutions.
• 10+ years experience working with Microsoft Excel and/or database applications.

The following experience is strongly preferred:

• Familiarity with the Microsoft365 Suite.
• Background in financial services, especially insurance.
• Good communication skills and attentiveness to details.
• Experience with Batch processing and Scripting.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
