Position Title: Early Childhood Teacher (Nursery 4 Leave Replacement)

Position Summary: Far Brook School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to teach Nursery 4s from February 2023 – June 2023 as a leave replacement. A strong candidate will embrace Far Brook’s unique progressive, multidisciplinary, and collaborative approach. Far Brook teachers contribute to a supportive and caring environment in which students learn and interact positively with one another. All teachers help build a collaborative, cooperative, and reflective approach to working as a classroom teaching team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and support the Far Brook SchoolStatement of PurposeandCommitment to Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice.
• Collaborate with current teaching team
• Provide a warm welcoming presence to support young learners
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment conducive to effective learning
• Supervise lunch, rest, and outdoor play
• Help with classroom set up, clean up, and some clerical work
• Lead small group activities and play, including art, dramatic play, blocks and learning times
• Support specials teachers as needed

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience managing a classroom and teaching children preferred (experience working with young children a plus)
• Experience with progressive education preferred
• Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team, as well as develop skills in working with individual children, small groups, and the whole class

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
