Fanny’s Restaurant at The Academy Museum Hiring for Remote Spanish Interpreter Job at Remote Full Time

Our Spanish Interpreter supports the operations of the Interpreter Program and serves as a conduit for our client and providers in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation mode.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
Fluent in English and Spanish, both oral and written, with a minimum of Advanced
Able to accurately work in consecutive mode and sight translate into and from working language(s).
Familiar and able to work with diverse populations with different cultural/socio-economic backgrounds.

Required Skills and abilities:
Proficient use of Microsoft Office and IOS or Android operating systems.
Flexible and able to adjust to last-minute schedule changes.
Have good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
Able to work on evenings and Saturdays; and
Able to travel to different sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Relays information between speakers of two different languages(Spanish, English)
Provides sight translation and written translations as required in patient encounters (e.g., filling out forms, schedules).
Provides interpreting services in-person and remotely as needed.
Communicates effectively with office staff via, phone, text, or email.
Utilizes online computer systems such as Global Interpreter Platform, EMR, and other technologies as needed.
Performs duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
